our services

AC repair, installation, indoor air quality, and what we cover.

The full range of residential and commercial AC service we offer across Port St. Lucie, Jupiter, Hobe Sound, and the rest of the Treasure Coast.
What AC services do you offer?

First Aid Air Conditioning handles the full range of residential and commercial air conditioning across the Treasure Coast: AC repair, full system installation and replacement, central air, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, smart thermostat upgrades, indoor air quality systems, duct work, and routine maintenance and tune-ups. We work on every major AC brand and model. When your system fails, we move fast and treat every call like an emergency, because in Florida heat it usually is.

Do you install and replace AC units, mini-splits, and heat pumps?

Yes. We install and replace central air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, and heat pumps for homes and businesses across Hobe Sound, Hutchison Island, Jensen Beach, Jupiter, Palm City, Port St. Lucie, Saint Lucie West, and Tequesta. We size the equipment to your home, handle the permitting, and back the work with a manufacturer warranty (typically 10 years on the unit) and a 1-year workmanship warranty on the labor. A standard install runs four to eight hours.

What indoor air quality services do you offer?

Florida humidity is the single biggest reason indoor air gets stale, mold-prone, and allergy-triggering. We install and service whole-home air purification, the REME HALO system (our most popular IAQ upgrade), UV light treatments, advanced filtration, and dehumidification controls that work with your existing AC. If anyone in the home struggles with allergies, asthma, or chronic congestion, this is where we'd start.

Do you service every brand and model of AC?

Yes. Our technicians are trained on every major residential and commercial AC brand sold in Florida, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, American Standard, Daikin, Mitsubishi, and others. Whether your system was installed last year or twenty years ago, we can diagnose and repair it. If you're getting close to needing a replacement, we'll tell you straight up and walk you through the options.

Do you handle commercial AC as well as residential?

Yes. We service residential homes, condos, and small commercial properties across the Treasure Coast. That includes restaurants, offices, retail, medical practices, and short-term rental properties where AC downtime costs you money and reviews. Property managers can set up a service contract for scheduled tune-ups and priority response.

Do you offer AC maintenance and tune-up plans?

Yes. Regular maintenance is the single best thing you can do to keep an AC system running through Florida summers. We recommend two visits a year, one before peak cooling season and one before hurricane season. Tune-ups catch refrigerant leaks, dirty coils, weak capacitors, and worn contactors before they leave you sweating through a 95 degree afternoon. Maintenance also keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.

pricing

Cost expectations, free estimates, Hearth financing, and specials.

Honest answers about what AC installation, repair, and indoor air quality work actually costs on the Treasure Coast.
Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We provide free written estimates on installation and replacement projects, including new AC systems, mini-splits, heat pumps, indoor air quality upgrades, and full-system retrofits. For diagnostic visits on existing equipment, a small service call fee may apply, which is credited toward the cost of any repair you authorize.

How much does a new AC system cost on the Treasure Coast?

Pricing depends on system type, tonnage, efficiency rating (SEER2), duct condition, and any indoor air quality add-ons. As a rough range for the Treasure Coast market, a standard central AC replacement runs roughly $6,500 to $11,500 installed, a heat pump replacement runs roughly $7,500 to $13,000 installed, and high-efficiency variable-speed systems run higher. Ductless mini-splits depend on the number of zones. We provide a free written, itemized quote after an in-home assessment.

How much does AC repair typically cost?

It depends on what's wrong. A capacitor replacement runs in the low hundreds. A blower motor or fan motor replacement runs a few hundred more. A refrigerant leak repair plus recharge varies based on what's leaking and how much refrigerant is needed. A failed compressor on an older system is usually the moment we have a conversation about repair versus replace. The diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you move forward.

Do you offer financing on AC installations?

Yes. We partner with Hearth for financing on AC installations and major indoor air quality projects. Loan amounts go up to $250,000, funding usually clears in one to three days, there's no prepayment penalty, and no home equity is required. You can see your personalized monthly payment options in minutes without affecting your credit score.

Do you charge a service call or diagnostic fee?

Installation quotes are always free. For diagnostic visits on existing equipment, a small service call fee may apply, which is credited toward the cost of any repair you authorize. Emergency and after-hours calls may include a dispatch fee, which we disclose up front before sending a technician.

What are your current specials and discounts?

Current promotions are listed on our News and Specials pages. Recurring offers include a discounted seasonal AC inspection, REME HALO indoor air quality upgrades at promotional pricing, and savings on energy-efficient system installations. Pricing changes seasonally, and we periodically offer additional discounts for first-time customers, repeat clients, and bundled service projects.

What areas do you serve?

First Aid Air Conditioning serves homes and businesses across the Treasure Coast, including Hobe Sound, Hutchison Island, Jensen Beach, Jupiter, Palm City, Port St. Lucie, Saint Lucie West, and Tequesta. If you're in northern Palm Beach County, Martin County, or southern St. Lucie County, give us a call. We very likely cover you.

Do you serve Port St. Lucie, Jupiter, Stuart, and the rest of the Treasure Coast?

Yes. Port St. Lucie, Jupiter, Hobe Sound, Jensen Beach, Palm City, Tequesta, Saint Lucie West, and Hutchison Island are core service areas for us. We're on jobs in these communities every week and often have a technician already nearby when you call.

Are you licensed and insured in Florida?

Yes. First Aid Air Conditioning is a licensed Florida air conditioning contractor with full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Proof of license and insurance is available on request. Working with a licensed Florida contractor is what keeps your homeowner's insurance valid and protects you when you sell the home.

How do I schedule service?

You can book service two ways: call 772-418-9787 or submit a request through the contact form on our website. For emergencies, no AC in the middle of a Florida summer afternoon, water dripping from the air handler, the system tripping the breaker, call directly so we can dispatch the closest available technician.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes, when technicians are available we offer same-day appointments. Calling first thing in the morning gives you the best shot at a same-day slot during peak season (May through October). For emergencies we work around the schedule to get a tech to you as quickly as possible.

What are your hours of operation?

Standard business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with phones and online requests monitored throughout the day. For AC emergencies, we offer fast-response service so you're not stuck without cooling on a 95 degree afternoon or during a power-restoration after a summer storm.

emergencies

Fast response, hurricane prep, permits, and licensing.

What to do when your AC fails in Florida heat, how we handle storms, and the licenses behind our work.
Do you offer emergency AC service?

Yes. We offer fast-response emergency AC service across the Treasure Coast for total AC failures, water leaks from the air handler, frozen evaporator coils, electrical issues that trip your breaker when the system kicks on, and storm-related damage. The name First Aid means we treat every call like an emergency, because in a Florida summer it usually is.

What should I do to protect my AC before and after a hurricane?

Before the storm: turn the system off at the breaker if a strong storm is bearing down (a power surge from a downed line can fry the compressor and control board). Clear debris from around the outdoor condenser. If you have a surge protector or a generator transfer setup, confirm it's working. After the storm: don't power the AC back on until any standing water has cleared from around the unit. If the system was submerged or partially submerged, call us first. We can inspect for internal water damage, refrigerant line integrity, and electrical safety before you risk turning it back on.

What should I do if my AC has stopped working?

First, check the basics. Make sure the thermostat is set to cool with batteries that aren't dead. Check the breaker panel for a tripped breaker (flip it fully off, then back on). Look at the outdoor condenser for ice buildup, burned smell, or obvious physical damage. Change the air filter if it's been more than a month or two. If none of that restores cooling, call 772-418-9787 and we'll dispatch a technician. Don't keep running the system if it's blowing warm air or making grinding noises. That makes the repair worse.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency in the Treasure Coast?

Response times depend on time of day, weather, and how far you are from the nearest available technician. Most emergency calls in core service areas like Port St. Lucie, Jupiter, Stuart, and Hobe Sound get an on-site tech within one to three hours, often faster during business hours. We dispatch the closest available technician to keep response time as short as possible.

Do you pull permits for AC installations?

Yes. For any work that requires a permit, including full system replacements, condenser swaps, electrical disconnect upgrades, and major duct work, we pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and meet the inspector on site. Working with a licensed contractor who handles permits properly is what keeps your homeowner's insurance valid and protects the resale value of the home.

Are you fully licensed and insured?

Yes. First Aid Air Conditioning is fully licensed and insured in Florida. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and our team works under an active Florida CAC (Certified Air Conditioning Contractor) license. Proof of license and insurance is available on request.
